About Us

Overland Ave Elementary School is a California Distinguished School in the Los Angeles Unified School District serving grades TK-5. Our campus is located in West Los Angeles within the Cheviot Hills neighborhood. Overland Ave Elementary School first opened its doors in 1931 with a mission to provide a high-level academic program that serves the educational needs of all types of learners. A distinguished program is offered through the integration of technology, enrichments, differentiation, and teaching approaches that develop a whole child. Our children access opportunities for greater academic excellence and cultural diversity without losing the personal caring, nurturing, safety, and intimacy of a neighborhood school.
